so my desk still looks as it did when we left!
Weird isn't it, how I needed to leave a tidy desk! The big tins are waiting for a coat of paint in advance of a bit of napkin decoupage. I did one at a workshop some time last year and wanted to do some more but couldn't source the catering pack size tins. Me and Mr Dunnit were taking advantage of a wood fired pizza 'kitchen' that turns up in our little town once or twice a month and I remarked to the chef that the tin he had on the counter with a basil plant in it was just the size I'd like to get my hands on. He laughed and said on an average night he got through three of four tins and I could have time whenever I liked! Happily walked home with a carrier bag full of dirty tomato tins. And after washing and drying, that's where they were put. And have stayed. It'll be another 'don't hold your breath' I think.....but I'll show you when I've done something with at least one of them!
Meanwhile; join in and show us your Workdesk, work station, tray, link your blog over at Sarah's - we really would like to see!

Welcome back - although you might wish to still be away, who knows? I have to laugh as we also have a ton of those cans - we buy Costco coffee and that is the size they come in! We spray painted many and planted in them but sadly they rusted pretty quickly outside. Hopefully yours will be INSIDE and stay fresh for years to come. Now, get over there and mess up that desk! The world in which your desk is tidy and mostly bare is a disconcerting one... :D
On time? YES. Happy WOYWW!

Ooh, look forward to seeing the finished tins Julia. Great recycling (and sourcing). Glad you had such a good break. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah
I need a pizza stand in my home town as i wanted one or two of those tins ages ago - trouble is i cannot remember for what? Maybe I will remember before I see them. No rush at all as my memory is terrible.
Hope you had a great holiday and refixed everything.
Funny about the tidy desk, since getting the caravan I don't bother but before going on holiday (talking a two week vacation) I had to clean the house fully and we had to wear dressing gowns and nothing else in the time before so that i didn't leave any dirty washing in the basket. Now that is mental!

Glad you enjoyed your holiday. I will look forward to seeing what you do with those tins.

Well done on purloining those tins( is that a word?) I'm sure you will do something clever with them. x x Jo 🌈
Hello Julia, I'm glad you both had a lovely holiday and I can well imagine settling back into the old routine takes a bit of adjustment. I'm just a weensy bit envious of those tins. They'd make great little planters. Now to find someone who uses a lot of tinned tomatoes. Look forward to seeing how you transform them. Have a great week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #15
